This is our source for raw butter that we use in our raw chocolate recipes. Organic Pastures has a spot at our local farmer's market. We're lucky to live in California because most of the United States don't allow you to have raw dairy products.

If you do live in California and want organic raw butter or milk, this company provides it. You can usually find it in the smaller health food stores but they also ship within California so I'm going to provide you with their website address and you can get all the particulars. You'll find it at the bottom of this article.

Organic Pastures is a family owned dairy. They were the first raw milk dairy farm to be certified with organic green grasses for their cows back in the year 2000.

I remember driving to Santa Monica to pick up my weekly raw milk, butter and cream. There were a couple of people provided us with these organic dairy products by driving their own refrigerated truck up to the Organic Pastures farm in Northern California. This was just the beginning days of organic raw milk form Organic Pastures. These same people were working to get these products into some of the smaller health food stores at that time.

It would take me about 45 minutes one way to pick up my share but it was worth the trip. Organic was so much better than even the raw non organic milk.

Here's a video where you'll get a glimpse of what happened back then and why this company has persisted to ensure we have organic raw milk in California.

There's been a lot of controversy over raw dairy products and there's still a battle going on here in California but we are holding ground with lots of evidence that raw milk is the only way to drink it for healthy bodies.

Here's their website, for more information for you.
