Question

If i want to make my own choclate bars at home, what will i need to do, the way i do it now is to use store bought chips, melt them down, add cacao powder and canola oil crushed walnuts and cayane pepper, spread it out on wax paper on a cutting board and freeze it, i like it, but there must be a way to do it better.

Hi Dave,

Sounds like you have a pretty good system if you like the results. I use raw organic cacao and other organic items. I've spent a couple of years perfecting this recipe and I actually eat it every day.

It's interesting how wholesome raw cacao in small amounts eaten with other foods can make a light meal or snack. I use the Spirulina Crunchies recipe and the Chocolate Delight recipe to make a light meal. Great for weight watchers since this recipe curbs the appetite as well as provides a well balanced feeling with energy enough to put in a few hours of work.

I can make my chocolate in about 30 minutes and my spirulina in about 10 minutes. You can make enough to last a few days so it really does save time for easy to prepare home snacks or light meals. I sometimes add a protein drink.

I've heard of putting cayenne pepper into chocolate like you've done, but never tried it.

I don't think I can improve on your recipe any if you want to save time. When I first started making my chocolate, it was taking me an hour but I've found ways to get it done in about 30 minutes.
